Our Pets Are A Blessing

Animals are sacred gifts to humanity, helping us heal to become our highest version of ourselves.

Our animal companions have shown us to trust, to have compassion but the most vital thing we’re learning today from them is to surrender. Surrendering is merely accepting what is. It is connecting with our inner self.

Animals live in the present moment of joy and unconditional love. When I get home my dog is so excited to see me. No matter how “bad” my day was, his energy level is so high, he draws me in, and it raises my level of energy. I get on the floor to meet his gaze, I have a mini conversation with him, and then we play for a few minutes. Everything else is out the door.

My buddy

They teach us how to live in the joy of the present moment. To be more child-like and play. They teach us to stay in our heart space and hold it – which is a choice we have to make.

Our pets come to our side and express their great love for us, reminding us daily that we are loved but more importantly that we are WORTHY of love.

Our pets also bring healing. There is no greater healing power in the Universe than that of unconditional love. Even when we are enmeshed in anger or blame, they sit joyfully at our side, radiating contentment and instilling peace within us.

For us to be balanced and whole, we have to allow ourselves to surrender the old to let the new to come through. With our animal companions by our side, the gift they are showing us is to keep our hearts open and live in the moment with grace and joy.

  1. Yes, Animals are precious and we can learn so much form them if we are willing. I’ve always been labelled ‘the black sheep’ in my family and in society. This year I’ve decided I am not a sheep but I recognise and identify with goats. I am a goat boss lady 😉

  2. Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for entertainment, We should educate public about the right of all animals to be treated with respect. Lovely Post, Berni 🤗🤗

  3. Oh Bernice, I love this! The photo of your dog is precious – I can completely see you sitting with him in joy.
Surrender is a powerful intention. I am currently focusing on this for a consciousness, health and healing class…. surrender to the loving.

This line is also fantastic: “There is no greater healing power in the Universe than that of unconditional love.” Blessings to all our animals, and to all those who communicate living love.

You are amazing. Thanks for the uplifting post. Hope you are doing amazing — happy New Year! ❤

    1. Happy new year my friend! Surrender is what our four legged friends are teaching us if we’re open to it. It definitely is a powerful intention and yet a wonderful healing experience too. Love is all there is. A big hug 🤗💕.

  4. Thanks so much for this post. May 1 will make two years since my furry friend of 15 years passed away. Miss him so so much. He was first and last doggie I’ve ever loved. Just don’t have the heart yet to get another one. Maybe one day….❤️

  5. Oh this is sooo true!! I love your dog’s name, Kasper and he’s a cutie!! I was just talking with a friend and said how God should have made cats & dogs live longer…like 50 years so they can spend our whole lives with us…don’t you think? There is so much we can learn from them. 🙂
